How to Install Smart4k IPTV on Firestick (2025 Guide)

The Amazon Firestick is widely considered the best device for IPTV streaming due to its low cost, 4K capability, and open android-based operating system. However, Smart4k IPTV (and most other IPTV services) is not available directly through the official Amazon App Store. To use it, you need to "sideload" the application.

Don't worry—"sideloading" sounds technical, but it’s actually a completely safe and standard feature of the device. This guide will walk you through the process step-by-step. You will be watching TV in less than 5 minutes.

Prerequisite: Before starting, ensure you have an active Smart4k subscription. Click here to get a trial if you don't have one.

Step 1: Get the 'Downloader' App

The Downloader app is the Swiss Army knife of Firestick tools. It allows you to download files directly from the internet onto your TV.

  1. From your Firestick Home screen, navigate to the Find (magnifying glass) icon.
  2. Type "Downloader".
  3. Select the orange app icon named "Downloader."
  4. Click Download or Get to install it.

Step 2: Enable Developer Options

For security, Amazon blocks the installation of unknown apps by default. We need to grant permission for the Downloader app to install files.

Note for new Firestick OS updates: The "Developer Options" menu is now hidden by default.
  1. Go to Settings (Gear icon) on the far right.
  2. Scroll down and select My Fire TV .
  3. Click on About .
  4. Highlight Fire TV Stick 4K (or your device name) and click the center button on your remote 7 times quickly . You will see a notification: "You are already a developer."
  5. Press the back button once. You will now see a new menu item called Developer Options .
  6. Click it, then go to Install Unknown Apps .
  7. Find Downloader in the list and turn it ON .

Step 3: Download Smart4k IPTV App

Now we are ready to install the actual streaming app (Smart4k CC).

  1. Open the Downloader app from your Apps list.
  2. If prompted, click "Allow" to access photos/media.
  3. In the URL box, type this specific 6-digit code: 78522 (Example code, please check your welcome email for the latest specific downloader code).
  4. Click Go .
  5. The Downloader will redirect to our APK file and automatically begin downloading.
  6. Once verified, click Install .
  7. Click Done (Do not click Open yet).
  8. Click Delete to remove the APK file and save space on your stick. Click Delete again to confirm.

Step 5: Logging In

Open your installed app. You will see a login screen. Enter the Username and Password sent to your email.

Pro Tip: Upon first login, go to Settings > Stream Format and change it to "MPEG-TS" if you experience any buffering. This format is often more stable for 4K streams on Firestick hardware.
